Post 3: Citation Confusion

Author Mike Bunn has a great way of working quotes into his writings. He is careful in how he want to lead the reader and write in such a way that reaches the reader. He adjust the writings differently if directed towards experts in the field versus if writing to someone who knows very little about the topic.

I took a similar approach in my writings, using quotes from experts to validate my points, Christine Ammer, The best-laid plans go astray was a great quote supporting my writings about making plans for the future.

Mr. Bunn has a great way of asking how do I want the reader to feel or respond.

  1. Hey " Keeping Dr. Hamon Happy", First I would like to say that's an awesome quote by Christine Ammer btw! But yes as I've done some of my readings on Mr. Mike Bunn I can agree with you that he sure does have a way cool way to reach his readers to keep them engaged. And that's cool that you are also taking that approach for your readers too. Which I appreciate because as a person whose attention span is ridiculously short, my brain tends to wander off a lot if the piece I am reading doesn't catch my eye. And I'm sure I will be one of your audience members for your writing again pretty soon. So thank you for that.

  2. Good evening Clint! After reading Mike Bunns work I can also agree he does an excellent job working his quotes into his writing. He's able to properly input his quotes and use his resources to support his claims seamlessly and makes it interesting to the reader. Bunn's way of having us question how we want the reader to feel or respond is a good way to think about our future writings.

  3. Hello Clint. I've read some more of Mike Bunns work and you are spot on when talking about his utilization of quotes in his writings. The way he uses quotes allows for a clear and concise picture he paints for the reader, as well as giving more dedicated writers something to imitate in their own work.
